Mindfulness - An Important Part of Freeing Your Mind
Life is now. There was never a time when your life was not now, nor will there ever be – Eckhart Tolle
Mindfulness is the art of being aware, and fully present, in the moment. When practicing mindfulness, you become aware of your thoughts, your actions and your movements. Mindfulness involves becoming aware of the mind’s chattering, and observing the continual commentary that is going on. By doing this you can discern if the thoughts have value, or if they are just the same old same old — meaning whether they are observations based on deeper truths, or whether they are the dogmas and preconceptions that rule your life. If you become more mindful and more aware of your thoughts and actions, you will be able to understand why you are acting the way you are, and whether or not your reactions are knee-jerk and reflexive.

Mindfulness will also allow you to live a more awakened life, a life that feels more alive and grounded. Some people have said that as they became more mindful they felt like they no longer were sleepwalking through existence. It is mindfulness that is the foundation for freeing your mind, and for accessing your visionary nature. By being present and in the moment, you are able to fully observe your thoughts, your actions and your reactions, and you can more fully understand how your preconceptions and dogmas stop you from accessing your inner genius and your visionary ways. As we become more mindful and aware of our actions, the more likely it is that you can free your mind.
